Executive Summary
The Hearst Tower currently under construction in Midtown Manhattan section
of New York City will become home to over 2,000 Hearst Corporation employees
located in offices throughout the city. The Hearst Tower is made up primarily
of open office space, but the architectural program also includes test kitchens,
an auditorium and a full service television studio. When complete the tower
will stand 42 stories tall and consume a total of 856,000 square feet. In
addition to becoming architectural icon, the Hearst Tower will become the
first LEED Gold Certified skyscraper in NYC.
