Technical Assignments

Proposal / Executive Summary / Breadth Summary

Proposal Revision updated 2-18-06

A series of solutions are presented to address the design problems that face the engineers. A plan is assembled for the solution and a timeframe is set for completion. Additional breadth studies are also proposed.

Technical Assignment 1 / Executive Summary

Structural system of project building was investigated and described. Existing conditions and design methods were determined and a lateral load analysis was performed.

Technical Assignment 2

Technical Assignment 2 / Executive Summary

Alternate floor systems were chosen based on design criteria. These systems were then implemented into a representative bay. Finally all the alternatives were compared on several points.

Technical Assignment 3

Technical Assignment 3 / Executive Summary

Lateral analysis was the focus of this investigation. Loads were updated and applied to lateral resisting elements of the building. The relevent design issues were then checked. Computer modeling was utilized to aid in anaylsis and design.
