This report introduces the existing conditions of The HUB on Chestnut. Presented is a detailed description of the overall structural system with a preliminary analysis of the newly erected structure located in the University City section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Technical Assignment 2
Within this report, are five (5) preliminary floor systems designed to functional as alternates for the existing structure. All selections are compared and contrasted with the original system based on design criteria, constructability, serviceability, and economical costs.
Technical Assignment 3
The contents of this report provide a detailed analysis of the lateral force resisting system. A full wind and seismic analysis is performed in conjunction with the 2003 International Building Code. The aid of a computer design program, ETABS v8.5.1, is used to provide a 3D model and simulations in movement and deflection.
