Peter Schneck is currently a 5th year Architectural Engineering student at The Pennsylvania State University. He plans to graduate in the winter of 2007 with a Masters of Architectural Engineering with a focus in Construction Management. Over the past 4 years Peter has enjoyed the opportunities that the Architectural Engineering program has afforded him, including a study aboard program in England and two summer internships. He studied aboard at the University of Leeds in their comparable engineering program, while starting at the quarterback position on the university’s American Football Team.
Over the past two summers, Peter has interned with Hensel Phelps Construction Company. The first summer he worked on the Pentagon Renovation Program as both a field and office engineering, having responsibilities such as layout of control lines, material tracking, subcontractor correspondence, review and filing of submittals, and organizing subcontractor meetings. This past summer Peter worked in Hensel Phelps’ estimating department. There he performed quantity and material take-offs, assisted in the development of bid packages, and made solicitation calls to subcontractors and vendors. Peter is excited to continue his education and join the Construction Management field when he graduates.
