Technical Assignments Technical Assignment 1 is an evaluation of ASHRAE Standard 62.1. This standard details the ventilation for acceptable indoor air quality. Section 5 explains systems and equipment requirements, and Section 6 outlines the Ventilation Rate Procedure. As part of this assignment the Ventilation Rate Procedure was used to evaluate the mechanical system of this building. ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004, which outlines energy standards for buildings. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) performance criteria was used to evaluate the sustainability of this building. Yearly energy utilization and mechanical system first cost and operating cost are included in this report. Technical Assignment 2 (PDF) Executive Summary for Technical Assignment 2 (PDF) Technical Assignment 3 is a report on the existing conditions of the mechanical system. It contains discussion found in Technical Assignment 1 and Technical Assignment 2 as well as new information about the operations and control of the mechanical system. Original designer data is compared to estimated data entered into the building model in order to communicated factors influencing design.
