    CHRISTOPHER DEKER

Chris grew up in the small town of Danville, Pennsylvania, where he attended the Danville Area High School. He was an honors student throughout his high school career, maintaining a 92% average. Chris also participated in many activities including Cross Country in the fall, Ice Hockey in the winter, and Track in the spring.

Possibly persuaded by being an avid Penn State Football fan his whole life, Chris always knew he wanted to attend Penn State, but didn't decide on Architectural Engineering until the summer before his freshman year. Chris always had an interest in Buildings and how they were held together, but never had considered actually being the one to design them. Chris is currently in his Final year of the ABET Accredited 5 year B.A.E. Program at Penn State. He just passed his Fundamentals of Engineering exam last spring, which will allow him to become an EIT or Engineer in Training immediately after graduation. Chris received valuable work experience during the summer of 2007, where he interned at Moseley Architects. He felt very lucky to intern at such a great firm, where they do most all of the engineering and architecture in house.

After graduation Chris hopes to find a structural engineering position designing buildings somewhere in the Eastern United States to gain the necessary experience for registration as a PE.

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
