Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in‐progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Christopher Ankeny. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design. |

AE 481W/482 Course Reflection
I feel that the senior thesis course is the most important part of the AE curriculum and is what prepares AE students for an engineering career more than some other majors. Although I learned many theories and concepts in my 5 years of classes at Penn State, I think I truly learned how to apply them in this course. I feel much more prepared to start my new job this summer after completing this course. My technical and analytical skills have improved in addition to my communication with other industry professionals. I am so proud to be a part of a program that takes so much pride in preparing students for their careers.
CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection
I think the CPEP sites are invaluable because they allow ourselves and others to revisit all of our hard work. I know that both people from my professional and personal life have taken advantage of the opportunity to access to all of my senior thesis assignments. The archives were also extremely helpful resources while working on my thesis to see what other students have done in the past. The discussion board was also a great resource to get questions answered and encourage professional communication. I was amazed by how quickly and thoroughly all questions were answered, the mentors were so supportive of us all semester long. Thank you to everyone who was a part of the discussion boards!
