Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work-in-progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Katherine Jenkins. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Located at 301 Hospital Drive, the Women’s Center and Inpatient Tower is one of two new additions being built at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The new Tower will sit behind the main parking garage, adjacent to the existing six-story hospital. The new Women's Center and Inpatient Tower will include patient rooms, exam rooms, diagnostic testing rooms, c-section and labor rooms, infusion rooms, and sleep rooms. The Women's Center will provide outpatient services such as women check-ups and prenatal care along with parenting education.
Please see my thesis abstract for more details on the building's architecture and systems. Thesis Abstract |
