AE 481W/482 Relfection

.AE 481W/482 has given me and other AE students the opportunity to experience the engineering design process first hand. The class and project helps to create a bridge between classroom work and real world building design. There is no other class that can prepare students for the construction industry the same way that this year-long class has. This class and senior thesis has been a valuable learning experience for me and the rest of the AE student body.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

Capstone Project e-Portfolio (CPEP) & the Discussion Board were valuable tools utilized by students during the thesis experience. CPEP sites allowed students to post dispay their completed work. It also allowed for professionals to see the type of work students are capable of and track their progress. The discussion board gave students the opportunity to interact with industry professionals during thesis work. Any and all questions thrown at the industry members were answered in a timely and professional manner. These industry members were extremely helpful in making my thesis project run smoothly.

ABET Reflection

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web-based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year-long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
