![]() Biographical Sketch Kristen M. Lechner is currently in her 5th year of study at The Pennsylvania State University. She will graduate in December 2009 with her Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree, specializing in the structural option. Kristen is an active member in The Structural Engineers Association (SEA) and The Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI). Other organizations include The Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society and The National Scholars Honor Society. Kristen has participated in two internships. Her first was obtained after her third year with a construction company, LPCiminelli, Inc., where she obtained great onsite experience. After her fourth year, she interned with Ruby+Associates, a structural firm, where she had great exposure to steel connection design and lift engineering. In addition to interning, Kristen passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in October 2007 and will gain EIT status upon graduation in December. In the future, Kristen is enthusiastic about obtaining a full time job with a structural design firm and pursuing her Professional Engineer license. Kristen is actively involved with Architectural Engineering through her devotion to the AE Envoy Program. Being an AE envoy gives Kristen the opportunity to speak with prospective students about Architectural Engineering and lead tours of the AE facilities. To view a PDF version of Kristen M.
