-Student Biography-

Originally from the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area, Nicholas Umosella, is currently in his fifth year at the Pennsylvania State University. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus in Construction Management. While in the AE program Nicholas was the 2009 recipient of the Melvin H. Peters Scholarship. Four years ago, Nicholas joined the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon where he has served as their President, Vice President of Recruitment, and as a dancer in the 2009 Penn State Interfraternity- Panhellenic Dance Marathon. He has also served as the Executive Vice President for the Interfraternity Council at Penn State.

Nicholas has worked for three different companies during summer internships throughout his college career. In 2007 he worked for Davis Construction of Rockville, MD where he assisted with preconstruction of the Constitution Center. He spent his 2008 summer with the Clark Construction Group as a field engineer on the WaterFront project in Washington, DC. Most recently he worked for the Barton Malow Company where he helped with RFI's, meeting minutes, commissioning, and closeout information at the Maryland General Hospital - Central Care Expansion project.

Nicholas will graduate in May 2010 where he will be re-joining the Barton Malow Company as a project engineer. He has his LEED AP and would like to pursue a Masters in Business Administration and become a Professional Engineer. A link to his resume can be seen here.
