"Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work-in-progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are soley the interpretation of Christopher Russell. Changes and discrepencies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design"
The AE IPD/BIM yearlong Thesis Project provided a valuable learning experience in a collaborative learning environment. The ability to successfully work as a team was good preparation for future work experiences. This experience allowed me to develop a more in-depth understanding on how changes to a buildings system impact the other areas of design. Overall this project provided experiences that could not have been gained though typical classroom experiences and ones that will ultimately help me continue to grow in the future.
The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) was an exceptional tool for organizing and presenting the thesis project and progress. By creating an individual website to share and express work it allowed for an additional area of creativity in designing the website. The CPEP site provides a great way to archive past work, and serves as a useful tool for current and future students, and should continue to be utilized in the future.
