Assignment 2 - Structural Design Loads

Through the use of applicable buiding codes and provisions, this report aims to reproduce the applied loads that were used in the design of Rockville Metro Plaza II. Specifically, gravity and lateral loads are addressed.

This document analyzes the existing concrete floor system of Rockville Metro Plaza II and explores alternatives to the original design. Criteria used to compare the systems included such elements as cost, weight, floor depth, architectural/structural impacts, servicibility, MEP coordination, and constructibility.

Assignment 4 - Lateral System Analysis

Lateral System Analysis Presentation

This report seeks to analyze the lateral sytem of Rockville Metro Plaza II by subjecting the system to loads determined in accordance with ASCE 7-05. Spot checks of elements within the system prove its efficiency.
