Patrice Mulhern is a fifth year Architectural Engineering major specializing in the Electrical Option from Horsham, Pennsylvania. She will graduate in May 2015 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering and a minor in Architectural Studies. Patrice also studied abroad in Rome, Italy in the summer of 2013 to study architecture. In October of 2013, she passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and will receive E.I.T status upon graduation.

After graduation she will move to Washington, D.C., where she will work as an electrical engineer at SmithGroupJJR. During her internship at SmithGroupJJR, Patrice worked in the Workplace Studio, where she assisted with lighting and power designs for tenant fit outs and was even the lead electrical designer for the construction documents of one of the projects. Patrice has 7 years of experience in the building industry, including internships at an electrical contracting firm, an electrical engineering firm, and an MEP firm.

Throughout her years at Penn State, Patrice has been involved in the Illuminating Engineering Society, the Student Society of Architectural Engineering, the Golden Key Honors Society, and the Women in Engineering Program. She is known by her peers for being a very efficient worker, rarely procrastinating, but she is better known as an avid fan of One Direction and Ed Sheeran.
