Adam Finley's Bio

Resume

Adam went to McGuffey High School in Southwestern Pennsylvania, where he pursued his desire to design by scheduling four years of architectural drawing classes. In 2001, he graduated from high school and applied to one college, The Pennsylvania State University. His first two years of college were spent at the Penn State McKeesport Commonwealth Campus, where he became active in student government, eventually leading to Co-Chairing McKeesport’s Thon program. Upon transferring to University Park, he started an internship with Penn State’s Office of Physical Plant in the Project Management Division where he oversaw construction projects related to athletic buildings on campus. While working for Penn State, he learned the fundamentals of project management by first hand experience with construction managers, general contractors, architects, and engineers. Before his final year of college, he became an assistant project manager with a general contractor, Bognet Construction Associates, in the D.C. area. While working for Bognet, he learned detailed knowledge of value engineering, negotiations with clients and subcontractors, and on-site management. Currently, Adam is continuing an internship with Penn State’s Office of Physical Plant while finishing his degree, a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering.
