Tech #1 This report is an analysis of the existing lighting design in the Woolly Mammoth Theatre. Four main spaces were looked at: the entrance canopy, the lobby, the theater and the office suite. Design criteria was established for aesthetic purposes and according to the IESNA suggested values. A 3D model was built for each space, and using the existing luminaire photometric files, illuminance levels were found. The power densities of the spaces were also calculated and compared to the ASHREA 90.1 power density allowances.

Tech # 2 This report is an analysis of the existing electrical conditions in the Woolly Mammoth Theatre. A NEC building load calculation was performed for the lighting, receptacle, mechanical and elevator loads in the building. Using this information the existing wire sizes and over current protection devices of the main distribution panels and feeders were checked. Also in this report are a summary of the utility rate structure and explanations of the communications systems in the building.

Tech # 3 This report is a schematic design presentation of my lighting design concepts for the Woolly Mammoth Theatre. The presentation was proposed in front of lighting designers from the industry at Lutron. A lighting design theme was chosen for the builidng, then each space was broken down separately. Design goals were given, and visual research was done to express my intentions for the four spaces. Concept diagrams and sketches were made using photoshop and hand rendering to clearly express the design.
