Existing Conditions and Design Criteria

Technical Assignment 1 provides an overview of existing lighting systems in the Harry Ransom Center. An analysis of each of the spaces to be redesgined is performed, including light levels, light loss factors, and design criteria based upon recommended practice, IESNA guidelines, ASHRAE 90.1, and other resources.

Electrical Systems Existing Conditions and Building Load Summary

Technical Assignment 2 provides a comprehensive overview of electrical distribution systems in the Harry Ransom Center.  A narrative description of pertinent electrical components is provided.  Main distribution panels, feeders, and other electrical circuitry were checked for proper sizing.

Schematic Lighting Design Presentation at Lutron

Technical Assignment 3 is a visual presentation of schematic lighting concepts for the thesis redesign of the Harry Ransom Center.  The presentation will be held at Lutron on 15 December 2006 before a panel of professional lighting designers.  Following the presentation date, comments and technical advice provided by the lighting designers will be posted.
