AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

I felt that the senior thesis was an overall good experience.  It allowed us as students to focus on one individual project

and apply what we have learned over the past 5 years in terms of design and analysis.  I felt it also gave me more

confidence in myself as an E.I.T., as it was primarily an independent effort throughout the project’s entirety.

Furthermore, I think that the manner in which AE 481W was broken down by Technical Assignments was very effective.

It allowed us to investigate the building in a step-by-step fashion which I felt provided me with a better overall understanding

of my building’s structural system.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

The CPEP website was also a positive part of this thesis course.  Although I felt it was slightly unrelated to the rest of the

thesis, it did teach me how to manage and successfully create an effective website.  It was a good way to organize all of our

information and findings and present it in an orderly fashion.
