Chad Illig's Bio

Chad Illig is currently in his fifth year at The Pennsylvania State University, working to obtain his Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, focused on the Construction Management option. Chad acquired an internship with Turner Construction Company during the summer of 2004. Chad acted as an assistant superintendent on Senate Hall at the Penn State Behrend Campus, Erie PA. While employed by Turner Construction, Chad was required to oversee all interior trades, assuring safety requirements were met and the quality of work was sufficient while maintaining the budget and schedule. In May of 2005 Chad was given the opportunity to intern with Gilbane Building Company, on the Penn State Recreation Hall Addition and Renovation project at University Park PA. He continues to work for Gilbane while attending school. The activities Chad undertook during this internship were that of an Assistant Project Manager. These activities include writing of RFI’s, reviewing and correcting submittals, quality assurance inspections and scheduling.
