Thesis Abstract

Gateway Plaza is the first office tower to be built in Wilmington's Central Business District in nearly 15 years. Its 15 stories will top out at 210'-6", and will offer 387,000 sf of office space. It is being built on the site of a former city parking lot, but will replace 600 parking spaces to the city with it's 5-story parking garage. The construction of Gateway Plaza hopes to revitalize this district by offering retail services and a well-lit, outdoor gathering area. The complex's long awaited arrival is slated for December 2006. To view a quick summary of the overall project, see the abstract below.

The abstract is intended to give a quick overview of the project and highlights the major components of its building systems.
