AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

The entire 5th year senior project was a good oppurtunity to learn more about the design process and about various systems in buildings. AE481W was the first half of the project where we investigated the existing conditions of the building. I learned a fair bit from looking over the drawings and specs to get an understanding of how the mechanical systems were set up. The second half of the course revolved around redesigning the existing systems. Which was a tiring process due to all the other course work to be done, but overall not too difficult and gave the oppurtunity to learn about new systems I hadn't looked into before.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

The discussion board was a very helpful tool. I only posted once but I received somewhere in the range of 8-9 responses. Each person was very enthusiastic about the oppurtunity to help a younger engineer out. The website was good for keeping people outside of the AE program informed of what you were doing. As well as allowing for an easy way to submit work for review.
