Hamad Alrahmani's biographical sketch:

Hamad Alrahmani is currently a 5th year Architectural Engineering student at Penn State University focusing in construction management. In August 2010, he will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree as well as a minor in Architecture Studies. Hamad is one of the few international students enrolled in the program.
Hamad worked for a construction company called ACICO in the United Arab Emirates. He worked on the site of a 54 storey hotel in Dubai called Jal Dubai Hotel. Hamad had the chance to see how hard the on-site management, safety and communication is in Dubai, especially with all the international workers working on the projects. Believe it or not, Hamad was the only Emirati on the site of the project. Hamad’s only other experience was before he came to Pennsylvania State University, and that was a two month training session in the Architectural checking department in Dubai’s municipality. He gained a lot of experience in reading drawings and learning the rules and building codes in Dubai.
Hamad is very active outside of academics. Hamad loves sports a lot; he plays many sports such as soccer, bowling, basketball, volleyball, horseback riding, and many others, and joins tournaments too. Hamad is the Co-finder of Khaleeji Students Association. Hamad is also a member in many clubs and associations in the university like CHAPS, SSAE, Kuwaiti Student’s Association, Saudi Arabian Student’s Association, and Muslim Student’s Association.
