My senior thesis presentation took place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12th. My presentation focused on redesigning the structural system of the KINSC from a precast concrete framing to structural steel framing. Furthermore, it focused on redesigning the lateral system of the building from a precast shear wall system to a steel braced frame system. In the presentation, I also included my conclusions from the construction management breadth study that was conducted regarding a structural cost comparison and a construction schedule comparison of the two systems.
