Dan's Bio

In 2001, Dan graduated high school from Perry Traditional Academy in Pittsburgh, PA. During his time there, it became apparent that he enjoyed the math and sciences. Upon graduating high school, Dan decided to further his education at the Pennsylvania State University.

Enrolling in Architectural Engineering, Dan adapted an interest in how the academics applied to structural building. Dan is now in his 9th semester of the 5 year ABET accredited AE program. Through the coursework provided by the university, Dan gained a depth background in concrete and steel design applications. In addition, he plans to become knowledgeable in residential and wood construction. Currently, Dan is the treasurer for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Penn State Student chapter. As well as being a member of AISC.

During the summers off from studying, Dan attained two internships related to his field. The first internship allowed Dan to work side by side with a General Contractor who was employed by Windows and Kitchen Specialists. The other rewarding internship came from Penn State. Dan obtained an internship with the Office of Physical Plant (OPP), where he learned the specific details to building construction by inspecting building code.
