Kristin Ruth's Biographical Sketch
Kristin attended Southern Lehigh High School in Center Valley, PA. She graduated high school in June 2001 and began pursing her Architectural Engineering degree at The Pennsylvania State University in Fall 2001. She was accepted into the Integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering Program and is focusing on the Structural Option. Kristin has taken advanced level classes in steel, concrete, wood, prestressed concrete, steel connections, and building failures.
Kristin has gained industry experience working for Beitler Land Surveying and Structural Design Group, Ltd. This work experience included four years of civil engineering and surveying work and a Structural Engineering internship where she gained valuable experience designing structures using wood, concrete, and steel. Kristin has experience working and designing with AutoCAD 2005, Wood Works, RISA, RAM, SAP 2000, EnterCalc, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Her accomplishments include maintaining a Dean’s List status and being accepted into the Architectural Engineering Honors Society. In addition, she is an active member of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers. Kristin is graduating in May 2006 with both a Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degree and is looking forward to a successful career in Structural Engineering.
