Angela's Bio:

Angela is currently completing her fifth year in Architectural Engineering and will be graduating in May 2007 with an integrated Bachelor and Master Degree. Angela is focusing her studies in the lighting/electrical option and has interest in working in both design fields upon graduation. Over the past two summers, Angela has interned with Ewing Cole Architects and Engineers in Philadelphia, Pa. During this time period, she worked on developing her skills in both lighting and electrical design. Angela is very interested in sustainable building design and is currently taking a graduate level course dealing with green building design methods and the LEED certification process. Angela plans to take the LEED accreditation exam within the academic year.

Angela became interested in architectural engineering when she first decided to attend Penn State. It became clear the lighting/electrical option was the best fit for Angela because it allowed her to work both technically and creatively.

Outside of the classroom, Angela is a member of the Penn State IES chapter. She is also an AE envoy, which is an organization of AE students who volunteer their time to give tours of the department to prospective students and their families. Angela has also been an active member of Alpha Phi Sorority during her five years at Penn State. She has helped the greek community by participating in multiple philanthropies, raising money for the Penn State Dance Marathon, and holding the position of new member educator.
