Welcome to Michelle's AE Senior Thesis e-Portfolio
Course Reflection
The year long thesis is what makes AE stand out from other majors. Entering my 5th year I looked at this process as an intimidating tedious project required to graduate. As I began working on my first couple tech reports last semester I began to have a greater understanding of what it meant to be a structural engineer. Thesis takes you one step further than any class can take you. Having the opportunity to merge my knowledge from various classes together in one large project helped me to develop as a person and prepare me for my future as a practicing engineer. I feel it is an important cap to the rigorous five year AE program
CPEP/Discussion Board Reflection
There are many benefits to both of these items. The CPEP sites give a creative outlet while making important information available to people. This created a direct link for professionals on the discussion board. The websites were availble to clarify anything for the professionals who were kind enough to answer our many questions. I gained a lot of knowledge from reading other students questions and the answers provided. I'd like to thank all the design professionals, once again, for their time and help in our thesis endeavors.
