Monjia Belizaire is currently in her 5th year of study, in the Architectural Engineering program at the Pennsylvania State University. Her degree focus is the construction management option; she plans to graduate in the spring of 2008. Monjia has spent the last two summers amassing knowledge and gaining an overview of the construction industry, through various internship opportunities. She worked at Jacobs Facilities Inc. in Washington, D.C. on the Headquarters of the Department of Transportation project, and the following summer she worked for Turner Construction Company in Pennsylvania on the City Hospital project.

During the academic year at Penn State, Monjia keeps busy by focusing on her studies and using her spare time judiciously by being active in various professional and philanthropic organizations. She holds leadership positions like programs chair, chapter historian, etc. for societies like the National Society of Black Engineers, Club Kreyol, and Engineering Mentoring Program, to name a few. Her passion for charity led her to a club known as Project Haiti, whose mission is to raise funds and awareness for the impoverished people of Haiti. Monjia is currently a full-time student, working part-time in the Academic Excellence Center as an intern.

Monjia aspires to become a LEED certified Professional Engineer, striving to provide solutions for the problems of today.
