AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

The AE Senior Thesis project has been invaluable to my education of the building industry. Through research and work this year I have been able to gain a better understanding of the correlation required with all members of hte design team on a particular project. From Technical Assignments through the Final Report and Presentation, I have learned a great deal about the project I chose for the year; however, I believe that all the information I gained through calculations and iterations has improved my understanding of different building material properties and behavior. The Project not only taught me about the real world applications of all the techniques learned in the classroom; it also allowed me to gain a better sense of producing formal reports which will be very valuable to my professional career.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

Through posting information to the CPEP site and Discussion Board, I have been able to get a sense of accomplishment during the progress. The Discussion Board was able to answer many of my questions that did not necessarily relate to my project. I was able to receive information regarding my own project and questions very quickly through the Discussion Board; however, much valuable information was received from other colleagues questions and the professional responses to them. Overall, the more questions able to be posted and the more professional feedback received, the more I was able to take away from this project.
