Patrick Laninger is a 5th year Architectural Engineering student at the Pennsylvania State University. He is focusing in Construction Management and will graduate in May 2012 with an Integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degree. Patrick passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam in the Spring of 2011 and will achieve EIT status upon graduation.
Patrick's experiences include summer internships with the Nucor Vulcraft Deck and Joist Manufacturing Company, the James G. Davis Construction Corporation and the Clark Construction Group. In addition to his exposure to deck and joist detailing and design, Patrick assisted the James G. Davis Construction Corporation with the daily project management tasks associated with a $4 million parking garage project and a $5 million rennovation to the Episcopal High School March Library. In 2011, Patrick was a member of Clark Construction's mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination team on a $550 million office building project (the subject of this capstone project).
Patrick serves as the Vice-President of the Student Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (S:PACE) club, as well as the President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) competitive design team. In his free time, Patrick enjoys hunting, fishing, and Penn State football.
