Dean's Circle of Excellence Award
Purpose
The Dean’s Circle of Excellence Award is reserved for staff members who have a proven track record of performing at the highest levels of administrative excellence.
Award
The name of the award is the “Dean’s Circle of Excellence Award.” A single award is presented annually. Each recipient receives $1000 and a memento. Funding is made possible through annual gifts from engineering alumni and friends.
Eligibility
All full-time staff members who have worked for the College of Engineering for at least five years are eligible to receive this award.
Qualifications
To qualify for this award, staff members must demonstrate a long-standing commitment to and support of the College of Engineering’s mission and goals. Selection for this prestigious award is reserved for staff members who have consistently performed at the very highest levels of excellence in all aspects of their work. Nominations for the Dean’s Circle of Excellence Award will be accepted by department heads and/or the nominee's direct supervisor.
Nominations
Each nominator may nominate only one employee for this award. Each nomination should consist of:
- a completed nomination form which includes specific examples detailing how the nominee embodies the spirit of the award;
- a one-page letter of nomination from the initiator;
- a maximum of three letters of support from College personnel, University personnel, alumni, and/or friends of the College;
- each support letter will be one page in length and will have one signature.
Selection
A committee appointed by the Dean of Engineering will make selection. The committee will consist of PSEAS representatives, recent past award recipient, and the Dean of Engineering.
Frequency
Past recipients are ineligible.
