College of Engineering Alumni Awards

To celebrate the successes of exceptional alumni, the College of Engineering presents the Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award and the Early Career Award to multiple honorees each year.

Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award

The Penn State Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award recognizes graduates who have reached exceptional levels of professional achievement. It rewards outstanding alumni for success in their field and for the impact they have had and will continue to have on society and their profession. Established in 1966, the award is the highest honor bestowed by the College of Engineering.

Early Career Award

Established in 2020, the Early Career Award (formerly the 40 Under 40 Alumni Award) recognizes engineering graduates for their extraordinary professional accomplishments. Selected alumni represent their profession’s top rising leaders by giving back to their professions, communities, and Penn State.
