Learning Factory

The Learning Factory at Penn State is a collaborative maker space in the College of Engineering that supports “learning by doing” by providing the equipment and training for activities including metalwork, woodwork, CNC embroidery, additive manufacturing, and blacksmithing. Through support for first-year engineering design cornerstone activities, capstone projects, and a variety of other student coursework, the Learning Factory fosters University and industry partnerships and creates an environment where student design projects benefit real-world clients.
