Final Report

Full Report

My final thesis report analyzes a few different mechanical systems.  The base system is the existing mechanical system of a variable air volume (VAV) system with self contained packaged DX units and condenser water.   The following four systems are compared to the base case:  A VAV system with a central chilled and hot water plant, as a base case in comparison to a VAV system with a central chilled and hot water plant, a dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) with VAV as a parallel system using DX units, a dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) with VAV as a parallel system using a central chilled and hot water plant, and a dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) with radiant cooling and heating as the parallel system (using a central chilled and hot water plant).

My breadth work included a structural study on roof equipment loads and a constructability study since the Administration building is an existing building.
