Final Report

The following report is a culmination of my past year's research and analysis of Rio Hondo Library and Learning Resource Center. The depth analysis focuses on a new lighting design that further enhances the architecture of the building and is environmentally friendly. The electrical analysis consists of combining distribution panels, resizing of equipment, and comparing a cost and system analysis to determine if the new system is a better choice. Within my new lighting design, a daylight system was added in attempts to get a more environmentally conscientious building. For a breadth analysis I investigated the skylight in the lobby to see if it was advantageous to the mechanical system or actually cost the system due to heating and cooling losses. This report is better seen in indesign or paper copy due to the book format. Below are pdfs of the pieces of the report. Please click on the link below to read the final report.
