Depth Summary

The depth portion of the proposal takes the knowledge of the different types of floor systems investigated in Technical Assignment 2 and chooses one to further investigate in the coming semester. The precast hollow core planking system on load bearing masonry walls was chosen for an indepth study. Along with the floor system change, the lateral system will be reevaluated using load bearing masonry shear walls instead of moment connections.

Breadth Summary

The breadth portion of the proposal investigates both the construction management and lighting options. The construction management portion will be an indepth schedule comparison to the original system. The lighting portion will examine a redesign of the lighting in a popular lounge on the ground floor.
