AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

I view the Senior Thesis as an excellent project to determine just how much we as Architectural Engineering students have learned and achieved through our five years. It was also a tool to help us learn on our own the things we needed to complete the project in a manner that befit our education and intelligence. Time management was also a huge learning objective in Senior Thesis. If time was not managed correctly, there were many sleepless nights and headaches, which in some cases may have led to less than agreeable grades in comparison to other classes and what one is used to receiving. Finally, it taught us to communicate through not only our professors, but our peers and industry professionals. In doing so, we developed lifelong knowledge and a sense of where to turn if we do not know the information that we need.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

I was assured that the CPEP site was a nice way to for others to keep up on my work. I enjoyed the CPEP site because I believe that it gave us an interesting way to express our work and gave me a sense of accomplishment as I added more items to it. I also think that it gave us a necessary lesson in technology. Websites are a very common thing for everyone, and the CPEP site was one way to assure that we received the knowledge to build one and make sure it worked correctly.

The discussion board was a fantastic tool for us to get the information we needed. I only posted one question, but the rest of the questions from my peers were also very helpful. The ease and promptness of the replies from the mentors was phenomenal. They did not hold back information that could help us and many times asked for more information to better answer the questions. I give many thanks to those professionals who helped us along our way!
