Scholarships & Aid

Penn State’s College of Engineering offers a variety of scholarships based on different factors, and we provide resources to help with financial aid.

Whether you’re a future first-year student, transferring from a Penn State campus, another university, or a current Penn State University Park student, check out our scholarships and financial aid support to help fund your engineering journey.

Engineering Scholarships

Scholarships help students reach their academic and career goals.
In the College of Engineering, we offer merit- and need-based scholarships to recognize hard work, talent, and potential.

Incoming First-Year Student Scholarships

New first-year students must submit a scholarship application to be considered for merit-based awards. For need-based scholarships, students must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and request FAFSA information be sent to Penn State.

Continuing Student Scholarships

Engineering students in their second semester or beyond, including students transitioning or transferring to Penn State University Park, are considered continuing students. We encourage all continuing students to complete a continuing student scholarship application and FAFSA to determine eligibility.

Financial Aid

While the College of Engineering is not involved in deciding eligibility for undergraduate financial aid such as student loans, federal and state grants, and work-study, Penn State does provide a wealth of information and resources. We encourage all undergraduate students to apply for need-based aid by submitting their FAFSA by the deadline.
