Peer Support

The Shah Center for Inclusion and Academic Excellence

The Shah Center for Inclusion and Academic Excellence is a free, drop-in tutoring resource available to all Penn State engineering students. Staffed by experienced upper-level peers, the center offers one-on-one and group support in subjects like math, chemistry, physics, computer science, and engineering mechanics. Engineering Career Envoys

Engineering Career Envoys are undergraduate and graduate engineering students who’ve completed at least one internship or co-op. They share their real-world experiences and help you get a head start on your career. Whether you have questions about resumes, interviews, or what it’s really like to work in a professional setting, our envoys offer friendly advice and student-to-student insight into gaining experience while earning your degree.

Engineering Peer Advising Leaders (EPALS) are current Penn State engineering students who are here to help you succeed from day one. They offer friendly, firsthand advice on everything from choosing classes and getting involved on campus to managing your time and finding support resources. As students who’ve been through the transition themselves, EPALS make it easier to adjust, connect, and feel at home in the College of Engineering.
