Below is the link to my final thesis presentation in powerpoint format, presented on April 17th, 2007. The speech followed the format of my final report, beginning with a brief project overview, then into my structural and electrical breadth studies, and closing with my construction depth study.
PACE Presentation
On April 25, 2007, I was given the honor of presenting my industry research for a second time at the PACE (Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence) Seminar. My study, "Industry Influences on Subcontractor Markups," directly tied in to the PACE theme of this year of Building Respect. The approximately 80 attendees included owners, construction managers, general contractors, specialty contractors, faculty, and students. Throughout the day speakers reinforced the importance of building respect among project entities by focusing on subjects such as project delivery, innovation, social dynamics, Building Information Modeling, and DoD healthcare planning.
