Technical Assignments
Technical Assignment 1 : This combined assignment provides technical background information on the PSHMC Cancer Institute. The existing conditions report contains summaries on the project schedule, building systems, and cost analyses. Technical Assignment 1 informs on local project conditions, owner information, project delivery method and CM staffing plan, and also includes a preliminary site plan.
Technical Assignment 2 : The focus of this assignment was to perform comprehensive analyses of the project costs and methods used by the project team. The first portion of the document summarizes the key elements of the analyses, that are contained in full in the appendices. Enclosed are a detailed project schedule, phased site plans, and estimates for the structural and curtain wall systems as well as general conditions.
Technical Assignment 3 : This last technical assignment identifies the analysis and research topics planned for the final thesis research proposal. The report begins with a synopsis of the 2006 PACE Roundtable Meeting and the industry issues that were discussed. This section is followed by an examination of a current critical industry issue which I was wish to pursue through further research in the upcoming semester. Next are breakdowns of three project-specific issues, and the planned analysis that will be conducted within the core thesis investigation areas. Lastly, a weighted matrix depicts the expected distribution of effort among the four research topics, and how they will incorporate the investigation areas into the analyses.
