Located in the southwest corner of the 780 acre Prairie Stone Business Park is the site that will ultimately contain the master development for the Sears Centre. The site existing conditions consist of two parcels that will be dedicated for building and infrastructure construction. Lot 13 is a 23.76-acre, triangular parcel bounded to the northwest by Prairie Stone Parkway, to the northeast by Pratum Avenue and to the south by Columbine Boulevard. Lot 14 is a 17.88 acre trapezoidal parcel bounded to the north by Prairie Stone Parkway, to the east by Columbine Boulevard and to the south by Interstate 90.

Occupancy/ Function Type:
The Sears Centre Arena's primary function will be to provide an indoor
venue for multi-faceted concerts, entertainment performances and trade shows
in the Northwest suburban Chicago area. In addition to
housing large scale events, the Sears Centre will serve as home to several
minor league professional hockey, lacrosse and arena football teams.
Project Size:
The overall size of the project constitutes for a total of 35 Acres of land development. Land development will include provision for the multipurpose arena, light infrastructure and landscaping with provision for 2,500 parking spaces.

layout contains the footprint. Within this building layout is a 240,000 sq ft. (GSF) arena that
contains an upper and lower concourse, forty-two suite boxes, and a multi-functional
ice-rank/arena floor. Three above grade stories are dedicated spaces for
the concourses and suite boxes. The remaining below grade level consists
of the arena floor, team locker rooms and electrical-mechanical service
spaces.

Project Delivery Method:
Design Build
The delivery method which accurately depicts this project
is the Design Build method. Ryan Companies operates as the design build
entity for the Sears Centre Project. A special relationship has been create
between Sears, Roebuck and Co.; Madkatstep and CCO Entertainment granted
joint ownership along with the arena naming rights for five years. As the Design
build firm Ryan Companies has the responsibility of submitting preliminary
budgets and estimates that are reviewed and revised for owner approval.
In house design and engineering capabilities have provided viable options
for “fast-tracking” and phase construction if needed.
