Overcoming Financial Need To Increase Engineering Student Access to Graduate Degree Programs
The Advancing Master’s Program (AMP) in the Penn State College of Engineering provides financial support and other resources to help talented students with demonstrated financial need successfully complete a two-year thesis-based master’s degree in engineering. Funded by the National Science Foundation award No. 2130169, the program provides the following to AMP scholars at Penn State:
- Up to $20,000 in scholarship funding across two years
- Two-day orientation prior to the fall semester
- Cohort experience with fellow scholars in the program
- Mentoring and professional development programs
