Thesis Abstract

Metropolis at Dadeland is a large concrete building in suburban Miami, FL. All but two of the floor slabs are reinforced concrete that are usually 8" or 9.5" thick. The columns and shear walls are reinforced, cast-in-place, concrete. the facade is CMU's covered with a stucco finish. At 29 stories and 313 feet there no building south of it in Florida is taller.
