2022 High-Performance Building Summer Camp
First- and second-year post-secondary students in building-related disciplines are invited to apply for the 2022 High-Performance Building Summer Camp, an inaugural cross-cultural educational program with students from Northern Ireland.
This day camp will be hosted in Pittsburgh, PA, a United Nations International Center of Excellence on High-Performance Building, and is a joint initiative by the Penn State-led Global Building Network, Penn State Center Pittsburgh, Northern Ireland’s South West College, and Pittsburgh’s Green Building Alliance.
Through a combination of lectures from high-performance building experts, hands-on activities, and site visits, summer camp attendees will learn the latest in high-performance building design and construction principles to make buildings more sustainable, efficient, and healthier for people and to help tackle the built environment’s significant contribution to climate change. Upon completion of the camp, attendees will be primed for future Passive House certification.
