Final Report

The following report is a culmination of the past year's research and analysis of the FDA CDRH Laboratory. The depth work is a redesign of the current concrete structural system into two possible steel alternatives. The analysis includes a look at the gravity and lateral systems, as well as reseach in vibration and blast resistance. This report also includes two breadth topics: a construction management breadth that looks at the price and schedule of the current system and the two possible redesigned systems, and an architectural breadth that looks at three possible alternative facade materials to provide a more traditional exterior for the laboratory.
